Aerofield legal

Privacy Policy

Plain words about what the Aerofield game and this website collect, why, and the choices you have.

Effective: October 16, 2026 Last updated: October 16, 2026

The short version. Aerofield has no accounts and no sign-in, it has no analytics tool of its own, and the app sends nothing to the studio. Your progress is saved on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, which only Apple handles. The game is free and shows one kind of ad: a full-screen ad after some rounds, from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, Google asks for your consent first, and iOS asks once whether Aerofield may track you. Aerofield Plus, a one-time purchase handled by Apple, turns all ads off.

1. Who we are

PuffyWings Studio (“we”, “us”) is the name under which Pascal Khazzoum, an independent developer based in the United Arab Emirates, publishes the Aerofield game for iPhone and this website, puffywingsstudio.com. Pascal Khazzoum is responsible for the data practices described here. Aerofield is coming soon to the App Store. You can reach us at puffywingsstudio@gmail.com.

Our other games have their own privacy policies: PuffyWings and Boxdini. This page is only about Aerofield.

2. What the app collects and why

Game progress, stored on your iPhone

These are saved on your iPhone, and we do not receive them: your best score for each airfield, the total number of aircraft you have landed, the days you have played, the special editions you have earned, your settings (sound, music and effects volume, haptics, Reduce Motion and Landing hints), whether you own Aerofield Plus, and a few counters that decide when an ad is due (how many rounds you have played, when the last ad ended, and whether the tracking question has been asked). A random number identifies each copy of the app you install, so that two phones can add up their landings without counting any twice. It is not tied to your name.

Your iPhone’s own backup, such as iCloud Backup or a backup on a computer, may include this data. That is under Apple’s control, not ours.

iCloud sync (iPhone)

If you are signed in to iCloud, Aerofield keeps your progress in sync across your devices and across a reinstall, using Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Storage: your best score for each airfield, your total landings, the days you have played and the special editions you have earned, together with the random install numbers described above. This data is stored by Apple in your iCloud account, and we cannot access it. Your settings, the ad counters and your purchases are not synced this way: purchases come back through Restore Purchases. If iCloud is off or not available, the game works the same and keeps your progress on the phone.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Aerofield is free and supported by one kind of ad: a full-screen ad that can appear after a round has ended, when you tap Fly again or Menu. There are no ads during a round and none in your first three rounds, and an ad appears at most once in every three rounds, and never within three minutes of the last one. There are no ads at all if you own Aerofield Plus. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect:

  • Your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, and other device identifiers
  • Advertising data, such as the ads you see and interact with
  • Product interaction data, such as ad taps
  • Coarse location derived from your IP address (country or city level, never precise GPS)
  • Performance, crash, and other diagnostic data about how ads are delivered

Google uses this data to deliver and measure ads, to prevent fraud and, where you have allowed it, to show personalized ads. If you do not allow tracking, ads cannot use your advertising identifier. Aerofield does not start Google’s ad software until the consent step (where it applies) and the tracking question have been answered, and it does not run them at all once you own Aerofield Plus. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Consent (Google)

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Google’s consent form appears on the title screen before ads can be requested. It is never shown over a round. Google keeps your answer on your phone, and Settings > Privacy > Privacy choices in the game lets you change it later.

The tracking question (iPhone)

After you finish a round, iOS asks once whether Aerofield may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. It never appears when the app opens. You can say no and still play everything.

Purchases

Aerofield Plus is a one-time purchase, processed entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment method, or billing details. The App Store tells the app whether you own it, so that ads can be turned off and what you bought can be unlocked. There is no subscription.

No analytics, no accounts

Aerofield has no analytics tool of its own and no crash-reporting tool of its own, and it has no accounts, no sign-in, no notifications, no Game Center and no sharing buttons. The only outside software inside the app is Google’s ad software and Google’s consent software. The app does not send anything to a server of ours, and we have none that the app talks to.

When you email us

If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to help you. Our inbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).

3. Tracking and your choices

  • Allow or deny tracking. iOS asks whether Aerofield may track you before ads can use your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. You will see Google’s consent form for ads. Change your choices at any time in the game under Settings > Privacy > Privacy choices. The row is shown only where Google’s form applies, and only while ads are in play.
  • US state privacy choices. Where a US state law gives you the right to opt out of targeted advertising and Google’s form is shown for it, the same Privacy choices row lets you do that.
  • Remove all ads. Aerofield Plus removes every ad, ever. Restore Purchases in Settings brings it back on a new phone.
  • Delete local data. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your phone. Your progress is also in your own iCloud, so it can come back when you reinstall while signed in to the same iCloud account. You can remove that copy in the iCloud storage settings of your iPhone.

4. What we never collect

No account, name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access, precise location, health data, or browsing history. The app asks for none of these permissions. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Who processes data

Apple (App Store, iCloud)Downloads, purchases, saving your progress in your iCloudapple.com/legal/privacy
NetlifyHosting this websitenetlify.com/privacy

We only work with providers whose own privacy commitments give your data the same or equal protection as this policy. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, they rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland): your consent for personalized ads and for storing or reading identifiers on your device where Google’s form asks; our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and secure; and the performance of a contract when you make a purchase.

6. How long data is kept

DataKept for
Game progress and settings on your phoneUntil you delete the app
Progress saved in iCloudIn your iCloud account, under Apple’s control, until you remove it
AdMob dataSet by Google under its policies
Support emailsAs long as needed to help you; deleted on request
Purchase recordsHeld by Apple under its policies; we never hold payment details

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or California and other US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email puffywingsstudio@gmail.com. Because we hold no accounts and the app sends nothing to us, we usually cannot match any data to a specific person. For data held by Google, you can also use Google’s own tools, and for data in your iCloud, Apple’s.

California residents: we do not sell personal information. If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your advertising identifier for personalized ads, which California law can treat as “sharing”. You can opt out at any time by turning tracking off in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, through Settings > Privacy > Privacy choices in the game where it is shown, or by buying Aerofield Plus, which removes all ads.

8. Children

Aerofield is made for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has shared personal information with us, email us and we will help remove it. Parents can manage purchases with Screen Time and Ask to Buy on iPhone.

9. This website

The Aerofield pages on puffywingsstudio.com use no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising trackers, and they store nothing in your browser. Fonts and images are served from our own site. Our host, Netlify, processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Once Aerofield is released, links from this site to the App Store take you to Apple, where Apple’s privacy policy applies.

10. Changes and contact

This policy takes effect on October 16, 2026. If we change it, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will also post a notice on this site. Questions or requests: puffywingsstudio@gmail.com.

11. For the App Store

The privacy information we give Apple matches this policy:

  • Aerofield has no accounts and no analytics tool of its own.
  • Ads come from Google AdMob. Aerofield asks iOS for permission to track you only once, after a round, and ads cannot use your advertising identifier unless you say yes.
  • Progress is saved on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, which we cannot read.
  • Aerofield Plus is bought through Apple, and it turns all ads off.
