Boxdini

Guess what’s inside.

A party guessing game: one sealed box, five hints, and the sooner you guess, the more you score.

Coming soonfor iPhone and Android

How it works

One box. Five hints. One shout.

Every box holds one real thing, like a key, a lion or a robot. Work out what it is from the hints.

  1. The box is sealed

A mystery item waits inside. Nobody knows what it is yet.

  2. Hints arrive one at a time

The first hint is vague. Each new hint gives a little more away. There are five in every box.

  3. Call it and shout “Lid off!”

Think you know? Say it or type it, then shout “Lid off!” to open the box and find out.

  4. The lid pops open

The box shows what was inside. Were you right?

The earlier you guess, the more you score.

A right answer scores 6 minus the number of the hint showing. Hint 1 is worth 5 points. Hint 5 is worth 1.

  1. Hint 15 points
  2. Hint 24 points
  3. Hint 33 points
  4. Hint 42 points
  5. Hint 51 point

Four ways to play

Pick how you play.

Around one table, on separate phones, or on your own. Every way uses the same packs and the same scoring.

One phone, one table

The phone sits in the middle and players say their answers aloud. With 3 or more players, one player judges each box and taps Right or Wrong. With 2 players you both guess.

  • 2 to 8 players
  • Works offline

Everyone on their own phone

One player starts a room and shares a 4-letter room code. Everyone joins on their own phone and types answers against a hint timer. The app judges.

  • Live
  • Up to 8 players
  • Needs a connection

Send a challenge

Play 5, 10 or 15 boxes on your own, then share a 6-character code. Friends play the same boxes whenever they like within 7 days. A board shows everyone’s results once they finish.

  • 5, 10 or 15 boxes
  • Open for 7 days
  • Needs a connection

Daily Box

One box a day, the same for everyone. Type your answer, keep your streak on your phone, and share a result card that gives nothing away.

  • One box a day
  • Streak on your phone

In online games you play under a made-up nickname, like “Quick Fox”, not your real name.
